Auckland Champs Cross Country

Two weeks after the SEZ competition, the team travelled to a new venue at the Kumeu A&P Showgrounds, to face tough competition at the Auckland Championship Race under overcast and windy skies.

The Year 8 boys led the highlights, with Ben earning an impressive 10th place finish, supported by Casey in 24th, Luca in 41st, and Jace in 59th, while Kingsley unfortunately had to withdraw.

In the Year 7 girls category, Annabelle crossed the line first for the team in 30th, followed by Annie in 57th, Mya in 61st, and Isha in 62nd. Leo represented the Year 7 boys with a solid effort to take 53rd place, while Charlotte in 33rd and Alina in 47th put in strong performances for the Year 8 girls after Lané was regrettably unable to finish.

Once again, all our runners showed great determination and grit to cap off a fantastic cross country season.
