Underdog Basketball League
The Year 7 SIS HEAT boys' basketball team opened their Intermediate Underdog League campaign in style with a convincing 46–30 victory over the St Kents Saints. What made the performance even more impressive was how well the boys played together, despite having no team trainings and only coming together a week ago.
Their unselfish ball movement, commitment on both ends of the floor, and balanced scoring across the roster, showed a level of teamwork well beyond their short time together. With the talent, enthusiasm, and positive attitude this group brings, the season ahead looks incredibly promising.
A big thank you to Mrs Pietersen for coming along to support, and to all our parents and whānau for being there for the boys.
The SIS Titans, who compete in the Challenger Grade, had a brilliant start to their season, winning their first match against a very strong Sancta Maria team. Excellent teamwork led to a commanding victory.
