First Lego League Robotics Comp

Somerville had two robotics teams compete at the Auckland Regionals for First Lego League (FLL) on Saturday 22nd November. Both teams had been working very hard over the previous term to come up with archaeology themed innovation projects to present to judges, as well as designing and coding their robots to achieve as many missions on the robot competition tables as possible during timed matches. The Banana Bots and Engineering shenanigans demonstrated teamwork, gracious professionalism and last minute problem solving to improve their robot game throughout the day, and both teams ended up with respectable personal best scores of 170 and 165 for a single match.
