Boys
On Monday 10th November, the Boys' Cricket team competed in the South Eastern Zone tournament, hosted at Lloyd Elsmore. We started the day with a great win against Farm Cove Intermediate. We bowled first restricting them to 63 runs, with everyone bowling incredibly well. We batted second and chased their score. A highlight of the game was Ekveer bowling a wicket maiden.
Next up was BBI. This was a tight game with Somerville batting first and scoring 56 runs. Then we had a good bowling performance, taking wickets here and there. Unfortunately they chased our score in the 7th over. The highlight of the game was Joel scoring 26 runs, not out.
We then played Mission Heights. We won the toss and decided to bat first, making a total of 86 runs. Unfortunately the rain came and we were only able to bowl 5 overs. The highlight of the game was our openers batting the innings out, with RV getting close to 50.
Thank you to Mrs Pieterson for running the event, and Miss Gunn for taking time to coach us. A special thank you to Brent Batten for all his expertise, and also coaching the team.

Girls
Our Girls’ Cricket team played in the South Eastern Zone on Tuesday 11th November, starting strong with two well-earned wins. The following two games were tough losses, but the team showed determination and resilience throughout. In our final match, heavy rain meant the game had to be stopped partway through, resulting in a tie.
The girls represented our school with outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship in every game. Their effort and commitment paid off as they finished third overall in the competition.
