Totara Springs Sports Camp 2025

On Monday 18th August, 33 excited students headed to Matamata for an action-packed week at Totara Springs Sports Camp. From the moment we arrived, it was non-stop sport, cheering, teamwork, and fun.

Over the week, we competed in a huge range of events including athletics, swimming, football, basketball, hockey, tennis, table tennis, netball, longball, softball, archery, croquet, petanque, tag and touch rugby, chess, draughts, darts, bowls, shooting, human foosball, cage soccer, team triathlon, kayaking, cross country, pickleball, indoor hockey and soccer, volleyball, and the chaotic Scramball! When we weren’t on the field or court, we were on the sidelines, giving our teammates plenty of encouragement.

Thursday brought the semi-finals and finals, with our teams showing amazing determination and sportsmanship. We finished the week on a high, performing our team cheer and celebrating some fantastic results at prizegiving:

🏆 1st place in Tennis, Draughts, and Table Tennis
🥈 2nd place in Pickleball

A huge thank you to our amazing parent helpers, Elfreda Gers and Jen McLagan, as well as to Mrs Pietersen and Gary Carr for all the pre coaching and organisation.

It was an unforgettable week of new experiences, great friendships, and memories we’ll always treasure.
