Leadership Camp - Part 2

In the final week of Term 2, our Whānau Prefects participated in the second part of their leadership programme, the Amazing Race Challenge, across the greater Auckland region. This event, which was postponed earlier in the term due to weather, provided an exciting and dynamic opportunity for our prefects to put their leadership skills into action.

Guided by senior leaders from Howick College, students were tasked with navigating a range of challenges designed to test their collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork. Throughout the day, it was especially pleasing to see how considerate, supportive, and inclusive they were of each other. They not only represented Somerville Intermediate with pride but also demonstrated the values we hold as a school.

We are incredibly proud of this group of enthusiastic and dedicated students who continue to grow as leaders. Their commitment to developing themselves and contributing positively to our school culture is something we can all celebrate. Ka rawe!
