Girls

Our girls had an outstanding day at the Futsal tournament, finishing second overall. They had strong wins against Farm Cove (3–1), Elim (5–0), and Howick Intermediate (4–1). A thrilling semi-final against Bucklands Beach ended in a 2–2 draw, with our girls clinching victory in a penalty shootout. They faced a tough St Kentigern side in the final, finishing as proud runners-up. A big thank you to Coach Brendan White for his incredible support and leadership.

Boys

On Tuesday 17 June, the Futsal boys proudly represented our school at the SEZ Futsal Tournament held at Auckland Netball Centre. 

The team finished pool play with an impressive 4 wins and 1 loss, securing second place and setting up a quarter-final clash with Sancta Maria. The boys dominated the match, earning a convincing 5 - 1 victory. In the semi-finals, we came up against Ormiston, who had gone undefeated in their pool. It was an intense battle from the first whistle, but our boys showed grit and determination, coming out on top with a hard-fought 1 - 0 win. 

With little time to recover, we headed straight into the final against BBI, who had the advantage of a 30 minute rest. Despite their exhaustion, the boys put in a valiant effort. The game was tied 1–1 until the final two minutes, but we narrowly went down 1 - 3 in the end. 

The team gave it their all throughout the tournament - a tremendous effort. Well done, boys! Next stop: Auckland Champs! Special thanks to our parent helper Saif Ismail for coaching the team on the day, and all the parents who came and supported us at the event.
