AAIMS Orienteering

Our Year 8 Girls team, Jocelyn J, Lexie M, Lily S, Olivia S, Alicia H, and Nimrat D, set out to compete against the best in Auckland at the Orienteering Championship. Held in West Auckland, the event took place on a beautiful autumn day, with the team navigating the course using only a map and compass, aiming to reach designated checkpoints in the fastest time possible.

They tackled the challenge with smiles, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude, fully embracing both the location and the experience. The camaraderie and support they showed one another were truly admirable.

We are very proud of these girls, their spirit, teamwork, and the way they represented Somerville Intermediate.
