Heritage Day
Cultural Heritage Day was a vibrant celebration of the diverse backgrounds within our school community. Students proudly wore culturally significant garments, showcasing the rich traditions and identities they bring to our classrooms. The school was alive with colour, as students shared stories about their heritage, helping their peers learn more about the many cultures that make up our whānau.
Throughout the day, students also had the opportunity to engage with interactive presentations, games, and displays created by international students. They explored activities such as learning to write Chinese calligraphy, taste-testing traditional Thai spices, and trying their hand at an ancient game that involves tossing arrows into a vase.
It was a day full of learning, connection, and celebration that highlighted the beauty of cultural diversity.
