Girls

We had four amazing students who represented Somerville Intermediate at the SEZ Tennis tournament, hosted by Somerville, and held at the Cockle Bay Tennis Centre. They competed in the singles and doubles competition on Wednesday 26th April.

Zoe H and Lucy Y represented Somerville in the girls' singles, while Ruolin X and Pauling Z teamed up together to represent Somerville as a doubles team.

Our girls had an awesome day and we were lucky enough to have some great weather conditions. The day was filled with some tough competition but excellent tennis skills.

Ruolin and Pauling, our doubles team, played great throughout their matches and ended up placing 3rd overall. Zoe and Lucy also played incredibly well and placed 4th and 5th respectively for the day.

Overall, it was a fantastic day where we could celebrate some great tennis. Very proud of all our girls who played, well done!!

Boys

Our superstar boys' tennis crew represented Somerville Intermediate at the SEZ Tennis tournament, hosted by Somerville and held at the Cockle Bay Tennis Centre. They competed in the singles and doubles competition on Thursday 27th April.
Mason M and Matthew T represented Somerville in the boys' singles, and Kerry K, Nathaniel S, Alistair C and Anthony X represented Somerville in the boys' doubles team. Cohen R was also a part of our tennis team, unfortunately he was unwell on the day.

The team had a fantastic day in excellent tennis conditions. They were up against some tough competition and as a school, came away with mixed results. Mason and Matthew both faced some great opponents in the singles draw and demonstrated some solid tennis skills over the day.

Nathaniel and Kerry, one of our doubles pair, placed 4th overall, after some exciting and close matches! This was a great result for the boys. Alistair and Anthony put in a good effort over a long day. It was a positive day for all of the boys involved and I was extremely proud of their efforts throughout the day and in the lead up to the tournament. Well done boys, you all did an awesome job!
