Year 7 Ruapehu whānau and Rooms 29 and 30, Kawarau whanau, embarked on their journey across to Motutapu Island, for the first of our Year 7 four day camps on Monday 27 March. They were fortunate to have great weather throughout their time on Motutapu.
In the last week of Term 1, Year 7 Rangitoto whānau and Room 27, Kawarau whānau, enjoyed fine weather and had a fantastic time on Motutapu Island. The weather continued to play its part for our second camp.
Aoraki whānau and Room 28, Kawarau whānau, experienced the many activities on offer at Camp Motutapu from 1 – 4 May. Although the weather was a little wet and windy at times, this did not deter the students from participating in outdoor activities, including the water activities.
The students are to be commended on their determination and enthusiasm throughout the three camps and we would like to thank the many parents who gave their time and energy to help ensure the camps ran smoothly. A huge thanks also to Mr Hamilton (EOTC Director) and the teachers from Somerville who attended and supported in making this year’s camps the success they were.
