Somerville Intermediate and ANZAC Day 2012
Here we see Y8 student Jessica Bennett and Principal David Ellery in front of the Cenotaph on Stockade Hill. Jessica won a Howick RSA Speech Contest on ANZAC Day and was asked to present her speech at the Dawn Service on Stockade Hill. You can see the speech by clicking on the link to the right of this page under 'News'. As in previous years, Somerville students marched in the 10.30 am ANZAC Parade. Click here for more images.

Author Michael Oehley @ SIS
Michael Oehley's visit on Thursday 10 May was a great treat for Somerville Students. Author of the '4 Powers of Daren Saner' and the 'Vitality Code'' series, Michael hosted the school in a presentation and Q and A session in our gymnasium. As well as writing, Michael is also a doctor and he led a session with students 'Pathways in Medicine'. The writing workshop was also a treat for many students. Thanks Michael for being at Somerville Iintermediate.

Samsung Experience @ SIS
The Samsung Experience Truck was parked at Somerville Int. recently. The Samsung Experience is an interactive, hands on mobile teaching facility designed to teach students about the Olympic Games. All students had a fantastic learning experience engaging in the wonderful Olympic teaching activities.
