| Somerville Intermediate provides students with the learning programmes to explore their potential through challenging, exciting and individualised learning. We meet the needs of our Gifted and Talented students through a variety of programmes. |
Our support programmes at Somerville Intermediate cater to the individual student learning needs. The LEAP numeracy and literacy programmes are geared towards supporting the students learning goals and areas of focus. Analysis of student learning needs through observation and formative assessment practices enable teachers in the LEAP Centre and at Somerville Intermediate to target key learning areas. |

Somerville supports student learning through differentiated programmes in the LEAP Centre. The LEAP Centre targets individual learning needs in mathematics, reading and ESL whereby we strive, through the use of various child-centred programmes, to ensure the students succeed in a safe environment and devep the skills to understand their stregths and weaknesses and how to work towards improving them.

LEAP (Learning Enhancement Advancement Programmes)
The Leap Centre was purpose built in 2006 to house the support programmes offered at Somerville Intermediate School, catering for the diverse learning needs of our students.
Our specialists programmes incorporate varied extension programmes, literacy and numeracy support, English as a second language classes and a counselling service.
